MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS: MS

January 27, 2023

Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological disorder in which a person loses myelin sheaths that cover nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord and eye area.  Multiple Sclerosis or MS for short is a progressive disease.  It changes as people age.  This is a big challenge to overcome. The purpose of this blog is to show those living with this condition or their loved ones there is hope for people living with MS.

When many people see the two letters MS, they think of the postal abbreviation for Mississippi.  The thoughts of you reading this blog might turn instantly to Microsoft.  I state that because you must know something about computers if you are on the Internet.  Microsoft’s programs begin with the letters MS.  Ms. can also refer to a lady whose marital status is unknown.

Do not be discouraged if a loved one or you gets such a diagnosis.  There are things people can do to fight this autoimmune disease.

First, those who have multiple sclerosis need to find a good neurologist.
